Fun workouts to try in 2017

It looks like 2017 is going to be an exciting year for fitness aficionados. With the release of wearable tech and fun workouts making their way into the mainstream, there are a lot of new things to try when it comes to keeping our bodies in tip-top shape. From what I’ve been hearing, here are some of the workouts that will be popular this year:

1. Body weight training

If you want to quit using classic weights even for a short time, body weight training is the way to go. No-weight workouts are a great way to kick-start an exercise routine especially for those who prefer to get fit from the comfort of their own home. Aside from the traditional push-up and pull-ups, there are other body weight exercises that will surely target all the muscle areas.

2. Specialized sports training

Those who want to train like their favorite MMA fighter or football player can do so with the help of a specialized sports training studio. These studios can also help those who are planning on joining a marathon or a triathlon. It seems that in 2017, more people will get into pro-athlete programs.

3. Boxing

Boxing has always been an option for a total body workout. However, in 2017, it will become more popular especially among women. With the opening of boxing studios and their affordable rates, more people will get their gloves on and aspire to have moves like Ali.

These workout trends look fun. As I’m already into boxing, I’m looking forward to trying out specialized sports training. I’m sure that there will be more workout trends throughout 2017 worth trying out. Who’s up for a fitness challenge?
